Huddersfield Town Development 4 – 1 Millmoor Juniors
Going into the game on the back of a 3-3 draw against Durham, the terriers were looking to respond in a positive manner.
It took town just five minutes to open the scoring, a corner from Tara Duce was headed home in exquisite fashion as Sian Gibrill-Keating headed home.
After going in front a resurgent Millmoor equalised 20 minutes with a counter attack splitting the town back 4 and confidently slotting home past Laura Carter in the town goal.
After putting the disappointment of conceding behind the terriers managed to get back in front just before the break after a good bit of build play Emily Brett kept her composure before rounding the Millmoor juniors goalkeeper to ease the nerves going into the break.
After the break it took town just 13 minutes to add another goal, after picking the ball up in the middle of the park, Cassidy Clift showed great individual skill dancing past 5 Millmoor defenders before expertly drilling the ball past the hopeless Millmoor keeper making it 3-1 to the terriers.
And 12 minutes before time the terriers completed the scoring and made it 4-1 with Substitute Molly Ellis using her pace to keep the ball in on the byline before providing an excellent cross for captain Tara Duce to head home.
A positive result for the terriers putting them into the next round who will face Sheffield FC on the 18th of December.
