Huddersfield Town Women can today confirm the departure of first team manager Jordan Wimpenny.
Jordan has released the following statement:
“This has been by far one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make, my announcement to leave the club is one that has been thought about in great detail but sadly one I must take at this current moment.
Personal circumstances have meant I must leave this great team of staff and players but knowing the club is in a great position is something that everyone should be looking forward too.
I can’t thank everyone enough for their support. The staff and players have been nothing but exceptional since I’ve been working with them but as I now leave the club I wish nothing but great success for all those involved.
The supporters of the club will continue to see their side perform each week and strive to be the best they can. Once again I thank you and wish you all the very best for the future.”
Highly experienced Steve Appleton will take over as an interim manager for the upcoming season including our remaining two pre-season fixtures. We want to wish Jordan all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution to the club and to the league.
