MATCH PREVIEW – Town Women vs UK Police Football

Town Women host UK Police Football in a Charity Showdown.

Town Women welcome UK Police Football in a fascinating charity contest on Tuesday evening at the Stafflex Arena. Entry to the game will be free of charge, 177 days after we last welcomed fans to West Yorkshire.

The much-anticipated contest, just before preseason, is a 7.30pm kick off on home turf with us meeting UK Police Football for the first time ever in a competitive match.

Manager Jordan Wimpenny was thrilled with the opportunity when approached by the opposing side and is aware that this competitive fixture will be a chance for a good insight into the group just before preseason

This was a game we couldn’t turn down to support a great cause and help the team prepare, for us it’s another game of football and no doubt it will be a competitive game. We are in the process of reviewing and developing plans for the next season.

Wimpenny expects the occasion to be bigger than usual and guarantees his team will provide the best entertainment possible for the returning fans.

It’s not your typical game that you play week in week out but it’s a team who have a strong reputation and no doubt will come and look to pose problems and try to practice what they need to as a group to be in the best position to compete when the time arrives.

For us to support such a cause and to have fans in are massive for us, we are looking forward to having our fans back by our side and as always we will look to give them a game that they will enjoy watching and want to come and see more of.
