Huddersfield Town Women’s Development Team travel to St. John Fishers School on Sunday for their third friendly of the 2021/22 season as they take on Harrogate Town.
The match will kick off at 10:30 and Town will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run.
Their opponents, Harrogate Town, are in the North East Regional Premier League and are continuously on the rise.
However, this young Terriers side are ready to continue their rise to glory in another pre-season friendly. So far undefeated, Town have taken on West Brom and Barnsley in pre-season.
Despite coming up against Harrogate’s first team this weekend, Mo Mouelhi spoke on what they are expecting when they travel to St, John Fishers on Sunday.
“Being a first-team, it will offer us a different challenge, which we need as a group to continue our preparations for the season.
“We will expect it to be a challenging game, but we will raise to the challenge and we will play our football.”
Despite being undefeated during their first two games, Town have scored eight and conceded six, but with strengths being taken from both performances, the team have been improving and growing in training.
Mo Mouelhi has been working with the team in training and continued:
“The biggest strength is the teams cohesion and the fluidity of the players to cover any positions on the pitch. We improved all units in the team and we are able to find solutions to any challenge we face.
“Also, all the new players and u18s that joined the team have a good understanding of the system we play now.”
The Terries will be wanting to return back into winning ways this weekend, however, with this weekends opponents scoring six last time out against Ilkley Town, they are not to be taken lightly.
But, with this young Town side craving success, the game is set to be fiery from the get-go.
