Huddersfield Town Women can confirm the departures of three players and three members of the coaching staff.
After a successful season for our Development Team, we can now confirm the departure of Alan Eastwood, Steve Winterburn, Gaby Pearson, Lois Mattock and Zoe Laughton.
Eastwood and Winterburn took over our Development Team at the start of the 2021/22 season and took the team to a FAWNL Reserves Northern Division unbeaten title, a FAWNL Reserves League Cup semi-final and the semi-final of the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup.
During their time in charge, Town were undefeated in the league and scored more than a century of goals. A great achievement for the club and the team.
Duo Gaby Pearson and Lois Mattock also depart the club after a successful season, where Mattock won Development Team player of the year.
The pair now travel state side to play and study football, or soccer as it is called, in America. Pearson was at Town for seven years, with Mattock at the club for four years.
They were dedicated and hard-working during their time at the club, and were fundamental in the success of the Development Team this season.
Zoe Laughton, who joined the Terriers six years ago, departs Town this summer as she begins a new career. The defender had a stint in both our First-Team and Development Team this season, helping both teams to success.
As well as the five-piece, Chloe Hellawell will be departing from our under-16s team.
We thank them all for their services to the club during their time with the Terriers and wish them every bit of luck for the future.
