Q&A WITH HTWFC’s DEVELOPMENT SQUAD ASSISTANT – MO MOUELHI

Q – Mo, welcome to the club! How does it feel to officially be a part of Huddersfield Town Women?

I’m really excited about this opportunity! I’ve been working in around the club for the last four years with the [Huddersfield Town] Foundation, but when the opportunity came I had to get on board and be a part of the women’s team.

Q – How will your past experiences help you in your new role?

I’ve been at a few clubs prior to this, I’m a UEFA B qualified coach and I’m a candidate for UEFA A, so this is great opportunity to both develop myself and bring a lot to the team.

Q – The devs’ first game of pre-season is this Sunday, August 23rd, against Ossett [United], how are your preparations going?

Our preparations have started really well and we’re at a good level at the moment. Everyone is competing at a high level, eager to start and to play, and I think we will do very well if this continues.

Q – Two development squad players made their first team debuts last season. Is this something you want to happen again? And can it be used as motivation for the team?

Our aspiration is to help bring development squad players through to the first team and we want to at least double those numbers this year.

Q- Finally, what are your targets for the 2020/21 season?

Our goal is to win the league, definitely, and we also want to get to the Cup final. We want to compete at the level we are at in training at the moment and, if we do that, we have every chance of success.
