SAFG UNITED 3 – 1 TOWN WOMEN U14’S

Town lost out to SAFG in a top of the table clash in difficult conditions.

Although it was the same for both sides, SAFG played the boggy conditions better and were the more clinical team on the day as Town for a second week in a row were left to rue missed chances.

Ella Rejiba maybe should have put the Terriers ahead after just 3 minutes when put through one on one with the keeper but fired straight into the stoppers arms.

SAFG narrowly missed the target from Range and Refern saved well before Holmes fired straight at the keeper at the other end and Ramsden fired wide from the edge of the box.

SAFG took the lead on 20 minutes when a mix up at the back let the number 9 in to slot past Redfern.

HT: 1-0

Town never really got going in the game and although the effort was present in most of the players, a distinct lack of quality was missing from several.

MOM Rejiba managed to equalise when Ramsden put her through on goal and this time made no mistake when finishing.

The level score was short lived as 2 quick fire goals from SAFG following a couple of lapses in concentration gifted the opposition 2 one on ones which were both neatly put away.

An off day for Town but they go again next week in the cup semi final.

FT: SAFG Utd 3-1 HTWFC
Scorer: Rejiba

MOM: Ella Rejiba
