MILL MOOR BLACK U14’s 0 – 13 – HUDDERSFIELD TOWN U14’s
Erin Fawcett scored her first goals for Town as the girls ran riot at Millmoor Black.
Town had most of the possession throughout and were patient for the opening 10 minutes until Charlotte Homes continued her purple streak with a first half hat trick. The striker scored all three within 18 minutes, all from similar positions on the edge of the box.
Hannah Burgess’ Beckham like free kick put her on her way to her hat trick but Amber Ford must have thought she’d scored when smashing a 25 yard effort. However the ball crashed back off the crossbar for Burgess to head into the far corner.
Daisy Turner was next to try her look from range and made no mistake with her effort as it rifled in off the post.
Town switched players around in the second half mainly to keep everyone active and warm as the temperature dipped and the rain lashed down.
Millmoor started to create a few chances and hit the bar from distance before Ellie Brown made two fine saves in the muddy goalmouth.
Molly firth neatly rounded the keeper and slotted home left footed and Holmes was reintroduced from the bench to fire in another bullet from inside the box.
Burgess scored another free kick and Libby Harris got in on the action with two close range finishes before Fawcett, playing in an unfamiliar left wing position, finished twice inside the box to complete a fine performance from the entire squad.
