Wakefield Trinity Ladies 0 – 6 Huddersfield Town
Town took another three points with a convincing performance at mid-table Wakefield Trinity.
An untidy first-half saw Town go in with a two-goal advantage through goals from Isobella Kington and Mia Harris.
The second period saw the visitors get the ball down and play some delightful football. Amy Almond worked tirelessly to win the ball time and again and her short-passing game set the standard for the team. Meanwhile, Lois Mattock took her game to new heights with her intelligent movement, penetrating passing and two terrific finishes to round off a superb performance.
Laura Hulme added a fifth with a penalty after Kington was brought down in the box before completing the scoring with a fine run and finish.
This was an accomplished performance and every one of the fifteen player squad who took part should be proud of their contribution.
Player of the match was Lois Mattock narrowly ahead of the impressive Amy Almond.
